This option is available to international students who completed qualifications that Australia has determined are in short supply. These qualifications are generally at Diploma level. The qualification gained must be relevant to an occupation on the Skilled Occupation List. Students must have studied for two years, 16 calendar months and completed these studies no more than 6 months prior to applying for the visa. This visa is valid for 18 months. Family can be included in this application or enter Australia as a subsequent entrant. This visa has full work rights. Applicants need to maintain health insurance.
